I was recommend to read this book, l am not really a big book reader, to be honest its not a book like this one l would normally read, l normally read crime stories, but something, dont know what, said go ahead and buy this book which l did, l found this book so different to other real life stories that l have read in the past, it was such easy reading, with honesty and emotionally events that took place for kevin. what a inspiration for others who have been in a similar situation. l also enjoyed the areas of where kevin works and lives, which bought back memories for myself. A really good and inspiring read for others that are going through the simular issues as Kevin did, there is light at the end of the tunnel and everything happens for a reason. As his sister this life story has made him a better person with alot more respect and consideration for others. This is an easy read and quite emotional at times but deffinatly spoken with his words and sence of humour, I hope others enjoy this book as much as I have. Yes I was around alot during his recovery while in and out of hospital but some things just will always be hard for him to remember.
I purchased this book after hearing the author and his wife in a radio interview. I found them endearing and was especially intrigued by the wife. Unfortunately she didn't write the book and her husband can't write to save his life. No matter how compelling the story the author's utter lack of talent and skill makes for an an excruciating read. A ghostwriter or at the very least an editor might have saved the day.
