What I love about the book the most is its hands on approach to tracking, understanding, and managing the anger without spending a ton of money. Not everyone has the same degree of anger and sure in some rare circumstances it could come in handy but for the most part it’s not a very effective emotion to have especially if it’s not properly controlled and channeled. This book doesn’t get all touchy-feely either, which is another huge bonus. Nothing makes me angrier than a book that gets all touchy-feely. Easy, easy, breathe… Ah see now I’m calmer already. Pick this book up if you feel like you could use a little practical help in this arena but you’re not able to get out of the house for long sessions or spend a bunch of cash. This book emphasizes techniques that are relatively simple and beneficial allowing you take charge of the situation without depending too much on outside sources. There are some outside sources mentioned but what I like the most is this doesn’t subscribe to the pill taking calming techniques that are completely unhealthy. They even mention Rolfing, which when I first read it I thought, sure rolling on the floor laughing will help put you in a better mood, but if you’re already in a bad mood Rolfing might prove difficult. After reading further I realized and learned that Rolfing is a form of tissue manipulation performed by a licensed Rolfer, of course that sounds funny to me so I’m already in a better mood. Aside from a group session or spending some time with friends or even counseling some aromatherapy and some stretching and breathing will most likely do the trick, not a ton of outside influences and it’s a lot cheaper than getting a lobotomy.

In my life, almost all those things which I liked to forget, happened due to my mistakes in controlling anger. Once you're able to recognise the signs that you're getting angry and can calm yourself down, you can start looking at ways to control your anger more generally. However this book recommends some fantastic techniques to control your anger. The book is precise and well written, teaches you how to prepare yourself against various situations that make you angry by preventing any unfavorable situations in the future.
Not me anymore after reading this book. I have a very stressful job and have been noticing lately that I seem to snap a lot quicker than I ever have in the past, reading this book has given me some pretty great ways to curb my anger as it happens. I have been trying some of the techniques and they are working really well. Thank you Mr. Wallenburg! I get angry over the littlest things and I found it hard to cope and to stay calm. I was searching online for a good book that would help me control my anger tantrums and I came across this one. I decided I would try it out because why not? I didn't want to keep letting my anger get the best of me. There are so many great techniques that Wallenberg has written of. It was really interesting to read too! My husband also read the book and has been using some of the techniques that Wallenberg spoke of. It's been a little over a month and a half and there have been great changes thanks to this book. I am so happy that I found this!! I highly recommend it. If it helped ME, it will help you too. Your mental well-being will thank you for this. )

This book has some excellent tips on how to control stress (and ultimately anger) in ways that do not require medication. From meditation to making sure our bodies are aligned via chiropractic treatment, the methods suggested are all beneficial.

Overall, I think this book is more about relieving the feelings of being tense or stressed more than it is about anger control. However, the methods suggested will ultimately lead to being more healthy and relaxed and therefore less likely to feel an overwhelming sense anger. The suggestions are practical and described in detail.
